Fishkill home deals with unknown sewage leak
While a homeowner was away on vacation and a family member checked on the home, he noticed an odor coming from the basement area and found that a sewage line had been leaking onto the concrete floor for some time. There was black water, or Category 3 water throughout most of the basement area.
The issue was fixed by a plumber quickly and SERVPRO of Western Dutchess County was called immediately to clean up the sewage. All affected contents, carpets, some sheet rock and cabinetry were removed. The floors were cleaned, dried out and treated properly and the smell was gone! The sheet rock and cabinetry are being replaced and the homeowner will have a fresh and clean basement when he gets back from vacation!
No matter the type of damage, SERVPRO of Western Dutchess County has your back. We'll take care of the worst to get you back to your best!
